Q: What’s the difference between registering and enrolling?

Course Content
Webinars (Weeks 1–8):
Monday 7 pm: Live sessions run Mondays at 7 pm. Dr Ryan Paul presents on all aspects of diabetes management, with a strong focus on Type 2 diabetes. Each webinar includes time for live Q&A. All sessions are hosted online and recorded for later viewing. Live attendance is capped at 300 people
Recorded session: Every week a recording of the live session is made available for you to watch in your own time.
School Holiday Break (2 weeks):
We will take a two-week break during the school holidays, knowing this is often a busy time for many. This gives people an opportunity to catch up on Webinars before the Mentoring sessions begin.
Mentoring (Weeks 9–16):
Monday 7 pm: A mixture of Case study presentations & Guest presentations from a variety of disciplines. There is a live Q&A at the end of each session.
Recorded session: Every week a recording of the live session is made available for you to watch in your own time.
People are welcome to submit cases or questions to be discussed during the mentoring sessions.
Weekly MCQs:
Each of the 16 weeks, you’ll be asked to complete a short feed back form to let us know how you watched and rated the session, then two multiple choice questions based on the week’s content. 100% pass for all 16 weeks is required for course completion and to download a certificate.
We will ensure the content is covered in each session for that week’s MCQ.
If you choose an incorrect answer, the platform provides feedback to support your learning. There are unlimited attempts, but you do need to achieve 100% to pass.
Communication
Q: I registered but haven’t received any emails?

Questions?

Live Sessions & Recordings
Q: I can't get logged in, where can I find the meeting link?
We will send out links to the current meeting in our weekly email and they are also on the programme.
You will however need to click the session link in ADC Online Learning at a later date for the activity to register as being completed if you join the session live from outside of the platform.
Q: When will webinar and mentoring session recordings be available?
We aim to upload recordings within two days of the live session. These will be accessible in the course player on Learnworlds for the duration of the course. We will make them available long term on YouTube.
Weekly quiz
Q: What does the weekly quiz include?
The quiz has been split into two parts. A feedback form which has two questions, How did you watch (Live/Recording) and how you rated the session. You will then complete a multiple choice quiz (MCQ) that has two questions that are relevant to the content from that week's session.
Q: What if I don’t pass the multiple choice questions?
No worries, you can try again! Each incorrect response includes an explanation to guide your learning. There are unlimited attempts! You can repeat each quiz as many times as needed.
CME & Certificates
Q: Who endorses the CME?
The Advanced Diabetes Management Course is endorsed by RNZCGP & College of Nurses Aotearoa. This year CME has increased from 16 to 20 hours to reflect that many sessions run over 1 hour.
Q: When do I receive the certificate?
After completing all of the required learning activities (watching all of the sessions and completing all of the weekly quizes with 100% pass rate) then you will be able to download a certificate.
Q: How do I claim my CME?
Once you’ve watched all of the sessions (Webinars and mentoring sessions) and completed all of the weekly quizes (100% pass rate required) you will be able to download a certificate which will have your CME hours lists with the RNZCGP & CONA logos.
Q: Are my CME uploaded to RNZCGP automatically?
Fellows of RNZCGP will need to provide their MCNZ number in the 'About You' section through ADC Online Learning to have their CME automatically uploaded at the end of the course. Non fellows cannot have CME uploaded automatically.
Q: Can I still claim education hours if I don't complete the course?
Yes! You can record any sessions you attended or watched as part of your personal professional development record, even if you don’t receive a formal certificate.
Q: Can I get a certificate for just watching the webinars?
We are not offering a certificate for this as the course has been endorsed with the full programme contents. You can however record the hours and learning in your own professional development record as mentioned above.
