EXIT Study now recruiting
We are recruiting up to 25 people with type 1 diabetes to take part in a research study exploring extended 5-day wear of the Omnipod 5 Automated Insulin Delivery (AID) system.
Participants will:
Use a tubeless patch insulin pump
Attend six visits in Hamilton over approximately 4 weeks
Receive kōha in acknowledgement of their time
You may be eligible if you:
Have type 1 diabetes
Are aged 16 years or older
Are currently using an insulin pump with a CGM (AID system)
Have a total daily insulin dose of 40 units or less
Can attend six in-person visits at our Hamilton clinic

About the study
EXIT stands for Extended Insulin Infusion Feasibility Trial.
The study examines extended 5-day wear of the Omnipod 5 Automated Insulin Delivery (AID) system. Participants will use a tubeless patch insulin pump in a supported research setting.
We are recruiting up to 25 participants.
The study begins in May and involves six in-person visits at our Hamilton clinic, scheduled over approximately 4 weeks.
Each participant will receive kōha for to acknowledge their participation in the study.
Inclusion Criteria
To be eligible for the EXIT Study, you will need to:
Have type 1 diabetes
Be aged 16 years or older (*For Waikato Recruitment)
Be currently using an insulin pump with a CGM (AID system)
Have a total daily insulin dose of 40 units or less
Live in the Waikato region and be able to attend six in-person visits at our Hamilton clinic (over approximately 4 weeks)
