Welcome to the resource hub for the 2GOCGM study. Here you can find videos and resources to help you manage your diabetes and your Dexcom continuous glucose monitor. 

Dexcom G6 CGM

Continuous glucose monitors read your glucose level every 5 minutes and send the reading to your phone or Dexcom receiver.

Reminder:
- The sensors are changed every 10 days. 
- Do not throw away the transmitter (grey bit)
- The same transmitter is used for 3 months.

Reminders:
- The transmitter is active for 90 days or 3 months from the day it is first used or activated. You can locate the activation date of your current transmitter by following these steps:
- If you are using the Dexcom G6 app, tap on  Settings > Transmitter.
- If you are using a Dexcom receiver, tap on Menu > Settings > Transmitter > Transmitter Info. 
- The Dexcom system will alert you when the transmitter is going to expire. It won't let you start a new sensor session unless the transmitter has at least 10 days of life left.  If not, it will ask you to pair a new transmitter in order to start a new sensor session (instructions here).

If you are experiencing technical difficulties, please don't keep trying lots of new sensors as this will waste them. Give us a call and we will help you sort the issue.
